Visitors
Onocology Ward.
The ward operate an open visiting hours policy but would ask for discretion during mealtimes and only immediate family after about 8pm. The ward is security locked at all times and access to unexpected visitors at night may be refused.

Parking
The hospital is situated fairly centrally to Taunton on the west side of the town, in the direction of Wellington.
Follow the signs from the town centre.
On site car parking is available, and has been improved greatly over recent months following the opening of a multi-storey facility. It is all barrier parking.
For the Children’s ward the most convenient parking can be found by
following signs to the Old Building car park. From there it is a short
walk to Oak Ward.
Disabled parking is available. Two disabled spots can be found
immediately outside the ward.
Please discuss with ward staff if a child has been on the ward longer
than a week in regard to parking fees.

Parent beds
There are 3 seperate parent rooms available, with seperate WC and showers. It is expected that families may need to share these rooms with other parents (same sex). A kitchen with tea/coffee making facilites, sitting room and outside area is next to the parent accomodation.
Both oncology cubicles have en-suite showers and a single sofa-bed for parents is incorporated.

There is a restaurant, coffee shop and snack bar available.

3 play leaders and playtherapist in training and a designated playroom and outside area.
Adolescent room with a computer and pool table.

Hospital school with trained teachers Mon-Friday mornings.9am – 12.
